Jesse Redding, a junior at Colfax High in California, won the Division 4 girls race at the subsections of the CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds at Frogtown in Angels Camp. Redding covered the 3-mile raincourse layout in 18:32.2 to lead five Colfax athletes in the top eight overall, contributing to a 24-68 victory against Christian Brothers and a berth at the Nov. 12 section final at the Willow Hills Course in Folsom.
