Rowland Hall junior Carson Burian won the boys 2A final in a classification record 15:51.7 on the 3-mile course at Sugarhouse Park and Highland High, at the Utah High School Activities Association state championships. Burian improved from third place last season in 16:32.4, helping the Winged Lions prevail by a 49-52 margin over Millard for their first state title since 2013 and third overall.
